Feeding and Treats

There are tons of food and water bowls available for dogs. Make sure you choose something that won’t tip over easily, and is easy to clean. Have a gobbler? Buy a slow-feeder bowl! As dogs get older, I like to use elevated bowls so they don’t have to bend down to eat. Here are a few recommendations. Click on the images to order:

When it comes to food, it’s really important to choose the right type for your dog’s stage of life and something with high quality ingredients. If you feed your puppy a low quality food, you can expect problems such as skin allergies/ irritations that will be uncomfortable for your dog and expensive to treat. They may have gastrointestinal issues with a low quality food as well. I feed all my dogs TLC dog food. They have a puppy formula and an adult formula. I love it because it’s made fresh to order, uses high quality non-GMO ingredients, and it ships to your home for free. The price is comparable to other high quality foods, but trust me, this one is the best. If you order through this link, I receive discounts on TLC food for my breeding dogs (full disclosure!). When you have a dog, you must always have training treats and chewing treats on hand! I love the Pet Botanics training treats because they’re the perfect size. You can tear them in half when your puppy is small! Don’t forget the treat pouch for when you’re out and about. If you want a well-trained dog, always have your treats ready so you can reward their good behavior. And say “no” to rawhide products.

On the go? These are handy for road trips or excursions to the local dog park:
