Crates, Gates, and Bedding

Choosing the right crate will depend on the adult size of your dog. If you purchase a crate with a divider, you can use it when the puppy is small, then remove the divider as your puppy grows. If your puppy has TOO much room in the crate, they might have more potty accidents. You want the crate to be snug, but not so snug that your puppy can’t move. Be sure your dog can turn around and stand up inside the crate. Always treat your puppy when they enter the crate on your command. It’s also helpful to keep a toy or two inside, to keep them occupied. I like these crates because they’re inexpensive, have two doors, and a divider. Click on the image to order:

Here’s my preference for sizes:

Mini Goldendoodle: 29.6” L

Medium Goldendoodle: 36.6” L

Standard Goldendoodle: 42.0” L

When you bring your puppy home, you’ll need gates and possibly fencing to ensure your puppy is confined to safe areas in your home. I like these options due to versatility and price. Click on the images to order.

For bedding, you’ll need something for the crate and something for outside the crate, just for lounging. The WashNZip is a GREAT investment. It’s a bed, but also unfolds to a blanket. The quality is incredible and it washes easily. For a 15% discount, use the code CRUZ. Click on images to order:
